A large oil on canvas painting of a dreamy exotic palm tree against a colorful pastel background, titled "Palm's Parade" and dated 1980. The painting borders a palm tree with a glimpse of three palm trees in the upper right. This painting is the epitome of 1980s American interiors, with its pastel tones and bright colors. Provenance Shilton International.Richard Frank was born in Britain and moved to the United States at the age of thirteen. He studied architecture at the University of Florida and painting and drawing at the Tyler School of Art and John F. Kennedy University, where he received his MFA and BFA. Over the years, Frank has held positions as a museum curator, university professor, gallery director and public television art host. Frank has participated in numerous exhibitions in the United States and Europe, and has received numerous awards and two Florida State Artist Fellowships.
